Its new holding in Guest-One brings Riedel Communications new expertise and understanding of software-based participant management.
The aim of the investment in the Wuppertal-based company is ‘to set new standards for visitor and event security with custom solutions, all from a single source’. The liaison promises a comprehensive solution for guest and crew management, along with cost-effective integration into a uniform event infrastructure. Guest-One is also prepared for the European general data protection regulation (GDPR) that takes effect in May 2018 – a benefit that will ensure customers are compliant with the new rule.
‘This investment and the resulting partnership with Riedel provide us with an excellent basis and opportunity for further growth in the global event market,’ say Marcel Schettler, Oliver Maitre and Thomas Küfner, the founders and MDs of Guest-One. ‘Together, we will develop innovative components in this area to take the handling of guests and crew to a new level.’
The move sees Riedel expand its service portfolio into the rental sector and, by investing in Guest-One’s digital solutions for guest management, accreditation, access control, and cashless payment, Riedel is developing into a full-service provider for the event market.
‘Whether providing guest management at events of major German corporations, in the Nations Village in PyeongChang at the Games, or in our own large, 30-year celebration, Guest-One has repeatedly proven its competence and innovative strength,’ says Riedel Communications founder and CEO, Thomas Riedel. ‘We continue to invest in the future and create synergies that benefit our customers worldwide, both technologically and economically.’
Guest-One's customers include well-known DAX companies (a blue chip stock market index consisting of the 30 major German companies trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange), medium-sized companies and associations, as well as event and advertising agencies. As part of this partnership, Riedel will offer Guest-One solutions through its rental organisation while maintaining autonomy for both companies.
