Stagetec Asia, the Malaysia subsidiary of Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec, recently completed a project for the Bernama News Channel (BNC) TV station.
Broadcasting local and international news covering politics, business, sports, entertainment and lifestyle 24 hours a day, BNC is part of the national Malaysian news agency Bernama. Stagetec Asia has installed two Auratus platinum consoles and a Nexus network with two Base Devices at the BNC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. The Stage Tec equipment is installed in two new production studios for live news broadcasts and shows.
Each fitted with 24 faders the Auratus platinum consoles are compact and ideal for predefined workflows in radio and TV productions. The consoles are integrated into the Stage Tec Nexus network, and can access a wide range of analogue and digital formats, including Madi, SDI, Dante-over-IP, A/D converters and AES67.
The console is optimised for fast and intuitive operation. All relevant channel functions needed in broadcast productions are within easy reach. Auratus platinum is ideal for smaller and simpler TV and radio applications ‘Auratus platinum best met the Bernama News Channel’s requirements,’ explains, Stagetec Asia MD, Advon Tan.
Sulaiman Salleh, sound engineer for the Bernama News Channel adds: ‘The mixing consoles run without any problems and we are looking forward to using them in our studios.’
