As a wireless audio interface for computers, smartphones and tablets, the ARX Blue DI wireless Active Direct Box Interface connects these and similar devices to the balanced line level pro audio world – most recently at the Byblos Pub & Grill in Yangon, Myanmar.
The Blue DI from the Australian manufacturer enables simple pairing to a wireless enabled device, making it straightforward to pull up a music file, press ‘play’, and deliver music through a professional sound system.
Proving a success with both management and customers, the set-up uses a tablet to control music in the bar – which is connected to the Blue DI via wireless protocol. Selected customers who come into the bar can connect to the Blue DI and then play their own music over the Quest Engineering sound system.
‘The guys at Byblos are passionate about the Blue DI and their customers love the fact that they can play their own music.’ says Trevor Cronin from ARX distributor Sound Around Myanmar.
The Blue DI is presently the only available Bluetooth compatible Direct Box that can be Phantom Powered, eliminating the need for external power packs when used in professional environments. Additional design features such as the ultra-low noise and distortion circuitry, electronically balanced XLR outputs and a heavy-duty, all-steel chassis complete the Blue DI package.
