Microphone windshields and suspension systems specialist Rycote has been acquired by the Vitec Group.
Based in Stroud, UK, Rycote is a market-leading developer and manufacturer of advanced microphone windshields and suspension systems serving broadcasters, videographers or independent content creators. This acquisition is intended to provide the company with means for continued growth and further product development, as well as enabling Vitec to bring complementary audio products to its customers.
Rycote Managing Director Simon Davies will remain with the company post acquisition, and Rycote will become part of Vitec’s Creative Solutions Division, led by Nicol Verheem.
