A boutique music festival set in the UK’s Hertfordshire countryside, Standon Calling 2019 attracted a record 15,000 people to mark its 14th year.
The festival hosts a range of acts across multiple stages, with UK distributor The Warehouse Sound Services Ltd providing an Adamson sound reinforcement system for the festival’s main stage.
The system comprised Adamson E15 line array loudspeakers and E119 Subwoofers with additional groundstacked S10 subs, all powered by Lab.gruppen PLM 20K44 amplifiers running Lake Processing.
Front fill was covered with new Adamson Milan ready CS7p point source loudspeakers. The new CS-Series is the world’s first family of mobile loudspeakers to feature onboard class-D amplification, DSP, and Milan-ready (AVB) network endpoints.
Systems engineer Aidan Thomson from The Warehouse created the system design and provided support as systems engineer: ‘The bar is high in terms of what people expect sonically at festivals,’ he observes. ‘The Adamson systems are truly scalable, and we received some favourable comments from several visiting engineers who really enjoyed using the system on the main stage.’
This years’ headliners across the three-day festival included Nile Rodgers & Chic and Rag’n’Bone Man alongside Friendly Fires, Echo & The Bunnymen, Róisín Murphy, Idles, Lewis Capaldi, Mahalia, Kate Nash and The Big Moon among others.
