Temecula-based audio rental company CBC Technical has upgraded the loudspeaker complement of inventory with components from Vue Audiotechnik.
CBC Technical President Chris Batchelor required the new system to deliver the highest levels of performance for the firm’s range of live events – from Fortune 500 corporate meetings to large-scale outdoor concerts. After specifying Vue in successful installs, Batchelor chose an al-Class rig.
The key factor in the company’s decision was to accommodate an increasing number of large-scale events in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. To address this, CBC’s new al-8 line array system includes al-8 Acoustic Linearity elements, supported by al-12sb subwoofers with dual 18-inch drivers to provide more than enough low-end support for the largest of their jobs.
The al-12sb subwoofers were selected to ensure scaleability for the larger outdoor events – when flying is prohibited, the integrated rigging allows groundstacking of the al-8s on top of the subs . CBC crews can also save time on-site by pre-rigging the arrays in the shop prior to transport.
CBC Technical is an established Vue partner, installing e-class solutions in bars and restaurants. However, since 1999 the company has also supplied stages with sound reinforcement needs and serviced acts such as Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Don Henley and Cold Play, and networks including ABC, NBC, Fox Sports and ESPN.
