Anderson Technologies has designed and installed a new EAW sound system at the Growpoint Church in Lorain, Ohio. ‘The church leadership and congregation were overwhelmingly raving about the system’s sound and overall performance,’ says Anderson Technologies’ Lee Anderson.
The former sound system at Growpoint was delivering poor coverage throughout the church sanctuary and in serious need of an upgrade. The new LCR system designed by Anderson Technologies features EAW QX300 boxes in the centre position, with left and right MKD1000s, accompanied by a pair of flown centre cluster SB1000s low frequency boxes.
‘Though a line array was originally discussed, we all agreed a point source solution using QX would work best,’ says Anderson Technologies Product & Support Specialist, Bryan DiFabio ‘As the installation date grew near, we assisted Lee with rigging recommendations and optimum speaker positions to ensure best possible performance in the space. We’re here to assist with design and deployment as much as required, it was great working with Lee and his team.’
‘The new EAW sound system more than surpassed our expectations.’ Anderson reports. ‘Once installed, the system set-up was a breeze. Typically, system EQ is a major part of the install but in this case, we spent more time in setting levels between components than actually EQing. The EAW Focusing technology and greybox solution was right on and made final tweaks a breeze. The MKD and QX loudspeakers feature extraordinary technology wrapped in an awesome sounding box.’
‘Superior sound. Instrumentals and vocals fill the room evenly,’ adds Lead Pastor, Josh Smith. ‘With a broad age demographic that meets weekly this system delivers for everyone.’
