Adlib supplied audio and lighting production for the UK dates of Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen’s ongoing Dedicated world tour. Production Manager and FOH engineer Zach Snyder had not previously worked with Adlib but was directed to the Liverpool-based production specialist by tour director Tony Marino, after his experience with Panic at the Disco. ‘It was a great decision,’ Snyder says…

Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen’s Dedicated tour For two sold-out UK shows at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse and London’s Brixton Academy, Adlib supplied an L-Acoustics K2 and KS28 system to accompany the Avid S6L 24d console at FOH and DiGiCo SD12 at monitors, which was run by Spencer Jones. ‘This is a great PA; you can source it worldwide and this spec is based on a ‘standard’ rig that we have been using for festivals,’ Snyder reports.

The artist and her four-piece band expanded to include more musicians for the US sections – all with their own Sennheiser mics and IEMs.

Snyder reports that Adlib met all specs and requests, and exceeded his expectations in terms of the levels of advance production, finessing and general planning. ‘It was impressive and seamless, and the crew at both gigs were also brilliant, knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to work with,’ he says.

‘We’ve been incredibly fortunate over the years to work with Tony [Marino, tour director] and Spencer [Jones] on their Panic! At The Disco Tours,’ says Phil Kielty. ‘Zach and Charles [Ford, lighting designer] have the same meticulous eye for detail and passion for creating the best possible show. Carly herself has grown over time to become a strong, confident and exciting female performer and her live shows are simply amazing.’
