A new B2B marketplace for production companies, suppliers, and freelancers across the globe is promising to simplify trading, and to provide ready access to equipment, crew and services.

Prozaar has been developed by its Swedish founder for users looking for a specific item or a one-stop supplier to take care of large production, as well as for rental/staging and broadcast companies, providing an easy and cost-effective way to find new customers and ensure equipment is out on the road. ‘Whether you’re managing a major production or a small event, Prozaar will guide you through the technical jungle and connect you with the right suppliers and professionals,’ says company founder and manager, Girts Pütelis.

ProzaarAn easy-to-understand interface provides a clear overview of offered articles and prices, with users able to save up to 30 per cent on production costs. Prozaar further promises a 70 per cent workload reduction for users while purchasing equipment and services.

Prozaar is designed specifically with the idiosyncrasies of the live event and broadcast production industries in mind, covering full purchasing and selling cycles – from request to offer and, eventually, to order – allowing businesses to manage the full process without ever having to leave the platform. A default library and custom user libraries makes requesting any type of article (whether a rental item, sales item, location, service, or human resource) available in a few clicks, while suppliers and freelancers can browse requests and immediately respond with offers without leaving the platform.

‘Most of the development time and budget was spent designing a workflow suited for our very unique industry,’ Pütelis says. ‘Our industry is heavily dependent on cross-trading activities and freelance market. Those were the two main sectors we tried to facilitate with our main functions.

‘Prozaar was initially designed as a cross-trading platform for equipment suppliers,’ he continues. ‘Due to the difficulties posed by the pandemic, we’ve widened the usability for basically any member in the supply chain of the professional A/V industry. With the current functionalities offered, we can’t see any restrictions to any industry sectors and we genuinely hope this will help businesses widen their business network and survive current crises.

‘One of our guidelines was to build a user interface that is easy to navigate and understand, but still with complex functionality behind the scenes. The customers we approached were identifying the same problem in their day-to-day lives – a lack of time and a lack of focus on supply chain management.’

Pütelis came up with the idea that would eventually become Prozaar while working as account manager at LiteCom Group on a number of high-profile events. ‘We were supplying multiple major productions as a small organisation with relatively limited in-house resources,’ he explains. ‘We concluded that, with the access to the right vendors, anyone with the right experience should be capable of supplying major productions, so I decided to transfer this business model into a digital tool.

Prozaar is offering limited amount of free memberships during the coronavirus pandemic. There are no special requirements and membership can be obtained with simple sign-up form.

‘We will do our best to help those who have remaining business and those who have potential to survive to be prepared for rapid growth as soon as lockdowns and restrictions are revoked,’ Pütelis says.
