Arturia has announced a limited run of black editions of its Step range of controllers.
‘From finger drummers to keyboardists down the Eurorack rabbit hole, there’s a Step for every application, style, and ability,’ the company says. ‘Get creative with instant sequencing and arpeggiation, make beats with effortless controls, and hook up your entire rig in perfect sync.’
The first up of these is the KeyStep Compact Sequencing Keyboard, which provides a polyphonic sequencer and arpeggiator in the familiar form of a portable 32-note ‘slim key’ keyboard for controlling anything from softsynths to modular racks.
Billed as a Creative Idea Generator, KeyStep 37 ups the key-count to 37-slim keys with sequencing, instant chord generation, real-time Midi controls and scale quantisation. At the top of the keyboard line is the KeyStep Pro, an all-in-one three-octave sequencing and performance controller, with four tracks, a dedicated drum sequencer, and all-encompassing connectivity.
The BeatStep Portable Pad Controller is an ultra-compact controller with advanced Midi, CV and DAW control capabilities, including mapped controls and instant scale quantisation. BeatStep Pro expands the offering into a multi-faceted controller, with projects, multiple 64-step sequencer tracks, and eight individual drum CV gate outputs.
