A 32-channel API Legacy AXS console with Final Touch Automation stands in readiness for a studio renovation at Webster University in St Louis, Missouri. The console sale was facilitated by Danny Watson of Ozark Pro Audio/Video. Delivery and commissioning is scheduled for later this year, ahead of Webster’s winter semester.
The Webster University Department of Audio Aesthetics & Technology is the latest in a growing list of educational institutions around the world to choose API consoles for the purpose of teaching analogue signal flow, audio quality and professional audio engineering/production.
‘It’s always exciting to see a big, beautiful AXS console coming through the factory,’ says API Director of Production, Richard Josephs. ‘Even though sales of these large-format consoles continue to accelerate, we can typically have a 32- or 48-channel AXS console built and ready for shipping within 120 days of receiving the customer’s order.’
