Renkus-Heinz has renamed its new PCX Series as the UBX Series to address a trademark issue that emerged after the product was launched.
In a statement, the manufacturer said: ‘The company was alerted to the trademark issue and, because its of strong support of trademark and copyright law and its legacy of integrity in the audio industry, decided to change the name from the PCX Series to the UBX Series. The new naming highlights Renkus-Heinz’s all-new Passive UniBeam Technology featured in the new award-winning line of UBX Series passive column loudspeakers.’
The UBX Series brings Renkus-Heinz into the realm of passive arrays. Using the same complex steering algorithms found in its flagship Iconyx columns, the UBX Series’ Passive UniBeam Technology delivers consistent coverage with minimal distortion and side lobe artefacts. By implementing steered array technology into a compact passive column, the UBX Series offers a new opportunity contractors and consultants to meet a project’s particular requirements with the performance, intelligibility, coverage and design offered by Renkus-Heinz.
