Outline’s Newton audio processor has been awarded a European patent (N° EP3776932B1).
This qualification follows an Italian patent for Newton awarded in 2020 (N° 102018000004143), and is the result of significant investment and effort on the part of the Brescia-based company. It is actually the third patent awarded to Newton, the other covering the WFIR filter topology that is a key factor in Newton’s audio performance.
Newton was launched in 2017, and has been adopted by leading sound hire companies and technicians world-wide. Described as ‘a game-changer’ by users, Newton offers a combination of processing power, flexibility, reliability and audio quality, with a intuitive user interface, all in a 1U-high space.
The company is continuing to develop the Newton platform and, in related news, is going to introduce a completely new multi-platform control software for Newton, once again entirely conceived and created at Outline HQ. This control suite is focused on enhancing the user-machine interaction and making life even easier for FOH and system techs. It is expected to be available in Q2 2023.
