Italian company FBT has made its Canto series of installation loudspeakers available in the UK for the first time through British distribution partner, FBT Audio (UK).
The Canto family has been designed, engineered and manufactured to be a versatile range of installation loudspeakers for venues requiring reliable and immersive sound reinforcement.
The six-member family comprises the Canto 3CT, the smallest model, featuring a 3-inch woofer and a 0.6-inch tweeter. The two-way coaxial passive loudspeaker with 100V/7.5W and 15W line transformer has been designed to meet minimalistic architectural needs.
Moving up in woofer size, the Canto 5C, 5CA and 5CT all feature a 5-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter in a two-way coaxial design. The 5C is the standard passive member of the family that offers a 120W rms, while the 5CT offers a switchable 70V/100V transformer with power selection from 7.5W to 60W and low impedance selection. Finally, the 5CA is the active member of the family, offering 100Wrms and 50Wrms class-D amplification for the woofer and tweeter respectively and four selectable DSP presets for optimised performance.
The largest members of the Canto series are the 8C and 8CA, both two-way coaxial loudspeakers featuring an 8-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter, have a maximum SPL of 125dB for use in both speech and music applications. The 8CA version is active with a built-in class-D amplifier offering 200Wrms for the woofer and 100Wrms for the tweeter respectively and four selectable DSP presets for optimised performance.
