Plug Consulting has launched a Hong Kong-based sales, supplier management and marketing consultancy.
Former IAG employees Mike Mayne and Ryan McKenna founded Plug Consulting, with the aim of helping companies sell effectively and expand into new markets. The pair have extensive experience of the audio supply chain, from manufacture and distribution to end-user, and first-hand experience of business in more than 80 countries. Plug’s specialist areas include live sound, recording, broadcast, commercial audio, IT and A/V.
‘I have been living and working in Shenzhen for many years now, and have learned a massive amount about Chinese business culture,’ Mayne says. ‘We both have a successful history of bridging the gap between businesses from all over the world, and have identified a number of great areas of mutual opportunity for Plug and our clients. Our key areas of expertise are currently in demand, as many companies look towards new alternative product offerings, and look to take them head-to-head with established brands.’
‘We are putting the final touches on our local team, and already have a number of trusted translators and assistants that will be invaluable to our clients,’ McKenna adds. ‘We aim to add value to our clients businesses in a number of ways, core activities such as sales can be supported by our media relations and marketing support, and vice versa.’
