Professional Audio Technology has delivered and commissioned a large Danish Interpretation System installation at the new conferencing and function centre at the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
The DIS system comprises a CU6011 Central controller unit and 28 DC6990P dual delegate units with touch screen controls. It is was integrated into a sophisticated video system, which automatically provides video of each delegate or chair person when speaking, and will be used for applications including council meetings, corporate seminars and of course university functions and lectures. In addition the system provides voting, vox activation, agenda handling and remote meeting administration.
‘We are very satisfied with the end result of this project and are very proud that we were able to provide DIS’s cutting edge technology to this world class venue,’ says Professional Audio Technology MD, Patrick Salloch. ‘Mirsad Vojnikovich from the University of Newcastle outlined that the university’s decision to go with the DIS system was based on ease of use, performance and design of the product.’
Since having been appointed the exclusive Australian distribution partner for DIS in 2010, PAT has delivered various DIS conferencing systems to the educational, government, corporate and private sector. ‘The fact that DIS technology is not only very powerful and covers all possible applications in the conferencing and translation market, it also offers ease of use for users without any prior training,’ PAT Technology Specialist Alan Liddelow says. ‘That makes DIS without doubt one of the most powerful systems on the market.’
