The 2012 Winter Namm show has claimed 95,709 registered attendees – representing a six per cent increase over 2011 and a record turnout for the show.
International registration saw a 15 per cent increase over 2011 (to 11,981), while the 1,441 exhibitors included 236 new names.
‘Once again, the Namm Show served as the crossroads for musical instrument and live sound products manufacturers, retailers and their guests from all over the world,’ says Namm President and CEO, Joe Lamond. ‘We are extremely grateful to all of the Namm Members, music educators, artists, partners and media who made this 110th Namm Show a resounding success for the music industry and a great start to 2012.’
For the second successive year, the show’s Wanna Play? Stage called on Ashly KLR-4000 amplifiers and Community loudspeakers and subwoofers. Michael Bell of Bell Event Services handled production at the stage, which featured a bill of hand-picked up-and-coming artists. The stage takes its name from Namm’s Wanna Play? campaign, which encourages people of all ages and backgrounds to take up a musical instrument.
The 2012 Summer Namm is set for ots regular home in Nashville, on 12-14 July. A comprehensive listing of international shows and event can be found in Fast-and-Wide’s events calendar.
