A Memorandum of Understanding singned by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union and Korean Broadcasting System is set to increase their cooperation in the development broadcast technologies.
The memorandum (MOU) was signed at the ABU’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, and outlines specific areas where KBS will support the ABU in its use digital technology to improve services to its members – ranging from leading international broadcasters to public service broadcasters in developing countries and small Pacific islands.
Developing new services will enable the ABU to meet its mandate to assist members in their development and deliver high-quality content to audiences in increasingly fragmented markets more effectively.
The project was initiated during a visit made by KBS CEO President Dr Kim In-Kyu to Kuala Lumpur during January 2012.
