Audient reports that the first two of its ASP4816 analogue recording consoles to be sold in the UK have been installed in two of Miloco Studios’ newest writing rooms – The Bridge in London and The Summerhouse residential writing studio on Osea Island.
Offering all the key features of a large-format mixing desk in a tight footprint, both ASP4816s have got off to a good start in their new homes, as Miloco MD Nick Young confirms: ‘These consoles seemed the ideal fit for both of the studios,’ he says. ‘We were looking for something compact but with versatility and in the right price range. The consoles’ versatility means we can record, overdub or mix with ease. We have put both of the desks to good use and the early feedback has been very positive.’
At The Bridge, the ASP4816 is running with an Avid Pro Tools HDX Rig running Pro Tools 10 and Yamaha NS10 Studio/Genelec 1031 monitors. Ample outboard includes mic preamps from API, Focusrite, Tube-Tech and SSL.
On Osea Island – a residential facility on an island off the Essex coast – there is an Avid Pro Tools HD Native running Pro Tools 10 with Adam Audio S3A/Yamaha NS-10M Studio monitors. Again, outboard is upmarket and plentiful including: dbx compressors; preamps and EQ from API and Neve; two Universal Audio 6176 Vintage Channel Strips; and Urei 545 Four-Band EQ and 1176 Blackface.
