SSE Audio Group has acquired ETA Sound.
‘We have been talking to Eddie [ETA owner Eddie Thomas] for a while about bringing his expertise to SSE and incorporating his complementary activities into the SSE group,’ SSE MD John Penn explains. ‘His particular area of operation is the design and installation of large format audio and emergency evacuation installations in stadia, shopping malls and large spaces.
‘This is a natural bolt-on for SSE, and adds to our skill set and range in the audio installation market, meaning that there is very little we don’t now cover in terms of what we can do in the audio environment,’ he continues. ‘Eddie is a well respected and experienced individual, who adds another dimension to what SSE can offer it’s clients.’
‘ETA is well known for its large format installation work, and for its maintenance and support activities following those installations,’ says Eddie Thomas. ‘With the extensive backup and support offered by the SSE electronics, fabrication, installation and service departments we are now offering a 360° service to our range of clients, which include arenas, stadia and many corporate customers.
‘I have brought my experienced team with me to SSE and look forward to the future within the growing SSE organisation.’
The Welsh company has moved it’s operations to SSE’s Redditch headquarters, and is currently working on major projects in London together with Emma Bigg, SSE’s London-based Director.
