Audinate is to extend its Ultimo portfolio of fully-featured, ready-to-use, single-chip Dante solutions for networked audio products with the ULT-01-004 chip (which supports 4x4 channels of uncompressed audio – twice the capacity of the Ultimo ULT-01-002 introduced at the beginning of 2013).
The Ultimo family incorporates differentiated Dante features, including automatic device discovery, plug-and-play networking, customisation of device names and channel labels, and network-based firmware updates. The chip is designed for use in networking powered speakers, microphones, A/V wall plates, speakerphones, amplifiers, paging stations, personal monitoring systems, recording interfaces, intercoms, and analogue/digital break-in/break out interfaces. ULT-01-004 extends the range of applications that can benefit from the Ultimo low cost Dante implementations
Coinciding with the launch of the new 4x4 Ultimo chip, the complete Ultimo product family will be enhanced to support a richer set of features.
- Increased range of sample rates (44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz)
- Pull-up/pull-down support
- Remote signal presence indication
- Latency monitoring
- Improved clock statistics reporting
- GPIO pin activation
