Shure is to open a regional office in Dubai, led by Freddy Sicko, who has long been involved in sales and management in the EMEA region from Shure's offices in Germany and has takes the role of Shure MEA General Manager.

The new office will be responsible for management of the Shure distribution centres in the region, as well as providing application support, training and seminars for the complete Shure and DIS product portfolio across the Middle East and Africa.

‘The establishment of the new MEA office in Dubai will increase the presence of the Shure brand and enable us to further develop the market in the region by strengthening the relationships with our local distribution partners,’ says Shure EMEA MD, Markus Winkler. ‘As part of this commitment, we will shortly begin holding regular seminars and training sessions. We look forward to welcoming existing and new customers to one of these sessions in the near future.’

The Shure MEA team will include Jan Villumsen as System Business Manager, Chicco Hiranandani, as Senior Manager and Remina Santos Castro, Customer Service & Support. Villumsen has been working with the DIS brand for almost 18 years, and in the DIS Middle East office in Dubai for more than 12 years. He will be responsible for market leads and new business opportunities within the system and project sales markets. Hiranandani has worked for NMK, Shure's distributor in Dubai, for ten years, and has detailed product knowledge as well as great regional market experience. Santos Castro has also worked in the former DIS Middle East office for more than years, and will handle customer service and support as well as managing the office.
