Phoenix TV expands China operations with Lawo

Phoenix TVHeadquartered in Hong Kong, Phoenix TV provides news, reports and entertainment programming for more than 100m Chinese-speaking people worldwide. The company – state-owned but privately operated – is presently nearing completion of new broadcast facilities in Beijing, which include a 600m² sound studio with a control room fitted with a Lawo mc²56 console.

With a further two Lawo sapphire mixing consoles ready to be installed for use the Phoenix TV news channel, operates two channels – one carrying recorded shows and talk shows, and the other providing news and reports on culture and religious issues – as well as a successful streamed IP TV channel.
