Source Distribution has secured exclusive UK distributor for iOgrapher products –including its range of iOS-compatible media cases and the forthcoming iOgrapher GO, supporting GoPro action cameras.

iOgrapher media caseiOgrapher media cases turn compatible iOS devices into convenient portable film-making and broadcasting systems. They allow shake-free two-handed operation, allow for tripod mounting and with the provision of multiple cold shoe attachment points, allow for the addition of LED lighting systems and microphone attachments, including those of the incredibly popular Røde VideoMic range. Additionally they allow for the use of compatible 37mm lens enhancements, including the iOgrapher 2X Telephoto lens, and iOgrapher Wide Angle lens, as well as compatible third-party lenses such as the Moondog Labs 37mm Anamorphic Adapter, as used on award-winning independent feature film Tangerine, shot on iPhone 5s.

‘The barrier to entry to filmmaking and broadcasting has never been lower. So many of us carry high-definition video capture devices with us everywhere we go, and with the simple addition of an affordable iOgrapher media case, lens and Røde VideoMic, we hugely improve the quality these devices are capable of,’ says Source Distribution Marketing Co-ordinator, Alex Theakston. ‘It’s incredibly exciting to work with clever products that enable broadcast professionals, students and independent filmmakers to unlock the potential of mobile filmmaking. We can’t wait to see what people in the UK create with this range.’

Founded in California by film director and educator David Basulto, iOgrapher products are compatible with a host of Apple iOS devices, including larger iPads, smaller iPad minis, and a wide range of iPhones covering multiple generations. Prices start at £54.99 for an iOgrapher media case with additional kits that include both Wide Angle and Telephoto lens attachment available for £89.99.
