Billed as the first 3DTV drama to be broadcast, Japan’s Fuji TV will air a new drama series called Tokyo Control beginning on 19 January.
Set around the lives of air traffic control operators working in Toko, the ten-episode show was shot in 3D by Fuji TV with the support of Sony.
It will be available in 3D for cable subscribers, as well as being broadcast on the terrestrial network in 2D.
The news accompanies the launch of a 24-hour live stream of Japanese programming going to air on Fiji’s free television network Mai TV, following the launch of the 24-hour web channel, Mai TV Live.
