Sharing his Buddhist wisdom and contemporary values, the 14th Dalai Lama recently addressed more than 3,000 Indian youngsters, scholars and social visionaries at the Talkatora indoor stadium in New Delhi. Ensuring he was heard by all in the large venue, Global Pro-Audio Management set up an Outline sound rig comprising a mix of GTO C-12, DBS 18-2, Mantas 28, Doppia II 9075 and DVS 15P iSP speakers.
The talk was entitled Reviving Indian Wisdom in Contemporary India, and arguers that ancient Indian wisdom carries values that are greatly needed in modern times – ‘India is the only country which has the opportunity and resources to combine ancient wisdom on inner values with modern education to promote both physical and mental well-being’.
The Outline system was supplied by Outline’s exclusive distributor for the Indian subcontinent, helmed by Gaurav Malvai – a well-known face since, as well as a key pro audio distributor, he is also a high-profile DJ and music producer. Malvai added Outline to his portfolio of brands after he had heard the products at various locations around the world: ‘Outline’s extensive product range has given me the opportunity to develop relationships in every market here, from large events and live productions through to all types of installation work,’ he says.
The rig for the Talkatora stadium included 12 Outline GTO C-12 at FOH with DBS 18-2 subwoofers. These were supplemented by eight Mantas 28s for centre and out fill, plus Outline’s Doppia II 9075 in Breakout Area 1, DVS 15P iSP boxes in the smaller Breakout Area 2 (where they also served as monitors) and iSM 115 stage monitors.
