Source Distribution has become an exclusive UK distributor of Aphex Systems’ professional audio processors, preamplifiers and dynamics controllers.

With a history extending over 40 years, Aphex came to fame with the original Aural Exciter in 1975. In the years since, Aphex equipment has become a standard presence in the racks of studios around the world, featuring unique technologies pioneered over decades of R&D.

Currently, Aphex produces the Channel Master Preamp & Input Processor, an end-to-end unit for vocal and instrument recording and processing. In one rack space, it includes Aphex’s RPA tube preamp, the EasyRider automatic compressor, proprietary logic-assisted gate, de-esser, and the Aural Exciter and Big Bottom processors for control of presence and clarity without increasing peak output.

Also available is Aphex's flagship Exciter, which features the Aural Exciters and Optical Big Bottom in a stereo configuration, bringing the abilities of this unit to line-level stereo signals.
