Lake People has introduced a Broadcast Version of its G103-P MkII headphone amplifier.
Like the standard version, the new model will operate with almost every type of headphones at any impedance. Where the Broadcast Version is differs is in the loss of a power on/off switch, as it is intended for uninterrupted operation. Special mounting options are available for all G series models from Lake People: the compact amplifiers can be installed under a desk or on a microphone stand.
The amplifier electronics will drive both low-impedance and high-impedance headphones – 16Ω or 600Ω – with a pre gain circuit for adjusting the signals level to make optimal use of the volume control. The ub=nit claims very low distortion, high signal-to-noise ratio and crosstalk attenuation, and up to 1,240mW output. Two headphones can be used simultaneously via front panel jacks.
The headphone amplifier can be installed directly under a desk top of an editing or mixing suite, so headphone jacks and controls are easily accessible without the amp taking up space. For greater flexibility in different environments, it can also be installed on a microphone stand. Input signals are connected via XLR.
The black anodized housing of the G103-P MkII Broadcast Version is intended to withstand the stress of media production. A high-quality Alps potentiometer controls the volume reliably and with the required sensitivity via its 25mm solid aluminium knob. The manufacturing in the company’s own workshop ensures meeting the Lake People quality standards according to the company motto: ‘Tools, not Toys’.
The Lake People G103-P MkII Broadcast Version and is available immediately, priced at €329.90, with desk mount accessories (G103, G105, G108, G111) at €89.90 and mic stand mount (G103, G105, G108, G111) at €59.90.
