Powersoft has announced Unica T, a new touring-focused amplifier platform designed to meet the requirements of demanding live sound applications, and its first new amplifier platform for the touring market since the of the T Series launched in 2019.
Developed to optimise the business operations of rental companies and live sound professionals, Unica T expands the Italian company’s Unica family of amplifiers, delivering high power density, efficiency and reliability in a 1U-high form factor, offering significant savings in space, time and costs.
By incorporating an industry-leading power-to-size ratio, high channel count and robust power-sharing capabilities, the platform enhances efficiency while reducing logistical and operational burdens. With a front-panel interface tailored for live applications, users benefit from an intuitive and immediate control experience, enabling quick and precise adjustments in high-pressure environments.
Unica T leverages the third-generation amplifier technology for outstanding reliability and futureproof performance. Innovative design elements include a patent-pending solid fastening system for Phoenix connectors, which enhances resistance to mechanical vibrations, and improved galvanic insulation for analogue inputs, mitigating infrastructure limitations and preventing accidental signal damage. Additionally, the unit’s intelligent ventilation system allows for compact rack installation while maintaining optimal thermal performance.
Unica T supports a wide range of connectivity options, including configurable GPIOs and networked audio and control. Its Easy Swap functionality, enabled by an automatic USB backup system, simplifies maintenance and minimises downtime, allowing for quick replacement without the need for complex reconfiguration.
