Powersoft and AFMG have collaborated to integrate AFMG’s new FIRmaker technology into Powersoft’s amplifier products.

Based on new acoustic optimisation algorithms, AFMG FIRmaker allows fast and highly precise system FIR filters to be generated to suit any venue venue, and then loaded directly into Powersoft’s flagship product lines, the K Series of amplifiers and the DSP4 module for powered loudspeakers.

‘Loudspeaker companies, as well as system users, can immediately combine the power and flexibility of our product line with the substantial performance enhancements to modern line arrays offered by FIRmaker,’ says Powersoft MD, Claudio Lastrucci.

‘This technology puts revolutionarily uniform sound coverage, spectral consistency and SPL at your disposal,’ adds Stefan Feistel, AFMG MD. ‘All of this is software-only, meaning it can be applied to both new as well as existing sound systems. Powersoft K Series amps support FIRmaker out of the box.’

AFMG FIRmaker will see its official launch at the Frankfurt ProLight&Sound show.
