Yamaha has updated its MA compact power amplifier line with the MA2030a and PA2030a, extending functionality for use in retail, restaurants and cafés, as well as lecture halls and institutional environments.

Yamaha MA2030aOptimised for smaller projects, both models support low-impedance and high-impedance speaker systems. Set-up is quick and easy, requiring no computers or complex procedures, and no special skill or experience is needed for day-to-day operation.

The ‘a’ versions retain all features of the earlier models (including the MA2030a’s three stereo line inputs and two microphone inputs with input mixing capability: DSP ducker, feedback suppressor, and automatic leveller for BGM and microphone operation) and now feature an 8Ω option alongside  the low-impedance (30W x 2-channel, 3Ω/4Ω selectable) output, plus high-pass and low-pass filters, which make it easier to use subwoofers. EQ optimised for Yamaha VXS10S/ST subwoofers is also included.

Featuring two types of stereo line inputs, the PA2030a can be used alone or in combination with the MA2030a to drive a larger number of speakers while allowing the establishment of extra service zones with volume zoning if required.

The DCP1V4S wall-mount control panel can be connected to the MA2030a for convenient remote output volume and microphone on/off switching control. There’s also an optional, dedicated RKH1 rack mount kit that allows convenient rack mounting of the MA2030a and/or PA2030a.
