Following the launch of MXA902 in 2023, Shure’s Microflex Advance MXA901 Conferencing Ceiling Array Microphone expands the Microflex Ecosystem portfolio with an option for delivering enhanced directional voice capture and reproduction with minimal set-up required. Additionally, Shure has previewed Designer 6.0 configuration software, offering a complete overhaul of workflows and its user experience.
‘Organisations are currently faced with upgrading their meeting spaces to adapt to today’s work environment,’ says Shure Conferencing Product Manager, Evan Groom. ‘They require conferencing technology that best supports hybrid collaboration while also integrating perfectly within a room’s aesthetic.’
‘The MXA901 combines a sleek and stylish form factor with exceptional audio quality, following the standard set by Shure’s Microflex Advance. For users integrating multiple Microflex Ecosystem devices, the new Designer 6.0 makes configuration seamless.’
Available in white, black and aluminium finishes, the MXA901 offers flexible installation options with a sleek, low-profile design to meet the needs of today’s modern workspaces and minimises on-table clutter. Its 13.5-inch (340mm) diameter round form factor is unobtrusive in nearly any architectural setting. It features six available accessory mounts to ensure compatibility with most ceiling types. Plus, the MXA901 is scalable from small to large meeting spaces with one or multiple arrays.
The MXA901 is designed with Single Zone Automatic Coverage Technology, which covers a 20-ft x 20-ft space with minimal configuration needed. Onboard IntelliMix DSP includes Automatic Gain Control, Acoustic Echo Cancellation, Noise Reduction and Automatic Mixing to deliver high-quality sound for all participants.
Shure’s Microflex Ecosystem devices, including the MXA901, employ a multi-faceted approach to networked A/V device security that embraces industry-standard technologies and workflows that span all Microflex devices in the room, ensuring that meetings remain confidential.
The MXA901 is certified for use with collaboration platforms, including for Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms.
Reimagined and re-engineered from the ground up, Designer 6.0 features completely new workflows, an improved user experience, and interface with Dark Mode available for both Mac and Windows platforms. Additional benefits include a streamlined system that allows users to navigate through different rooms and devices, drag-and-drop desired system components on the workspace and save-as-room designs to create templates. Templates can be locally stored or shared for an easier collaboration. There is no import/export of database, making configuration work intuitive and user-friendly.
Designer 6.0 supports standard-based 802.1x security protocols to manage and store data across platforms.
