Lightware Visual Engineering has announced its latest next-generation A/V offering, promising flexible, high-quality AV-over-IP connectivity for hybrid work and meeting room A/V environments. The new Taurus TPN and Gemini GVN products address the growing demand for real-time connectivity and high performance in collaborative workspaces and mission-critical environments.
The Lightware Taurus TPN is intended for large meeting rooms, boardrooms and conference settings. It offers USB-C and SDVoE technology for high-quality HDMI 2.0 4K60 4:4:4 matrix switching over 10G Ethernet networks, with a range of up to 100m. Its independent USB 2.0 matrix switching layer supports multiple devices, providing automated and manual switching options.
Taurus TPN users have 4K resolution to support an ecosystem of networked devices and screens from a single source. Content can be sent anywhere, enabling organisations to unlock a more versatile meeting room experience and meet the needs of today’s hybrid environments.
For larger and more complex A/V installations, the Lightware Gemini GVN is an IP-based matrix switching option, operating on a 1G Ethernet network with low power consumption (~10W) and able to handle 4K60 4:4:4. Equipped with Lightware’s Advanced EDID Management system, Gemini GVN ensures that the decoders are capable of scaling HDMI 2.0 video signals up to a maximum resolution of 4K60, either on Cat (up to 100m) or on fibre-optic (up to 10km) with HDR, HDR+ and Dolby Vision support. Built for mission-critical environments such as control rooms, broadcast centres and high-end corporate use, it offers the performance, reliability and ultra-low latency required by the most demanding organisations.
Additional features include the provision of dual Ethernet interfaces, 4K HDR support and advanced management through Lightware’s Lightware Device Controller. By offering integration with third-party control systems, Gemini GVN allows A/V integrators to build large, distributed systems over an IP network, providing the performance of a traditional matrix switch with the flexibility and scalability of IP architectures.
‘Today’s hybrid working environments are at their best when supported by high-performance A/V infrastructure and connectivity solutions, such as the Taurus TPN and Gemini GVN,’ says Lightware CEO, Gergely Vida. ‘By meeting this growing market need, we are enabling systems integrators and customers to deliver transformative collaborative experiences that today’s digital-centric organisations are looking for.’
