Lewitt Audio has launched the Connect 6, an audio interface with live streaming and social media use in prospect.
Comprising a hardware controller and accompanying Control Center software, the package offers extensive hardware connectivity, full iOS/Android device integration, high-quality mic preamps, onboard DSP effects, a mixer and virtual channels.
Connect 6 is a Dual USB-C audio interface with XLR/jack combo inputs claiming -133dBV EIN and 72dB of gain. DSP effects include an expander, compressor and four-band EQ. It also allows integration of mobile device (or a second computer) into an audio set-up via the second USB-C port on the hardware controller.
Creating a custom audio set-up calls on the Control Center software, enabling the microphone signal to be combined with other audio sources from a computer, mobile device, or other inputs, and includes three virtual stereo channels, a loopback channel to capture audio from a browser, game or Zoom call.
Two completely independent audio mixes – Mix A and B – can be created, such that one can be used for personal monitoring while the second is fed to a DAW, streaming software or virtual meeting environment.
The interface’s two independent headphone amplifiers are powerful enough to drive high-impedance studio headphones. Both can be fed with individual mixes and support zero-latency monitoring, even when the DSP-powered effects are engaged.
Connect 6 is available from Q3 2022, retailing at US$299/€299/₤259.
