DirectOut has announced the immediate availability of its Prodigy.MX Multiformat Audio Matrix following its debut at the IBC Exhibition in Amsterdam, alongside an update to globcon.
Prodigy.MX supports up to 1,664 inputs and 1,668 outputs granularly handled by a single-channel routing matrix. The compact 2U-high device converts, connects or isolates digital audio formats including Madi, Dante, Ravenna/AES67, SoundGrid, and AVB/Milan. Optional HD SRC technology bridges different clock domains. This versatile internal structure enables any signal flow while acting as ‘audio firewall’ between independent audio networks, if needed.
The globcon update includes the integration of new Factory Templates for Prodigy.MP, streamlining and easing deployment in festival and touring applications. These templates, when loaded via globcon, automate the set-up of internal DSP routing, Layouts, and Snapshots configurations on the Prodigy.MP device. This time-saving feature allows users to focus solely on physical input and output patching and PA tuning.
In addition, the full Prodigy series has received a maintenance update. The new system build includes some customer requests of past months, such as zeroConf (link local address support) for the Management interface, AES output dark to disable the AES output signal for downstream failover detection and a Midi tunnel for SG.IO, to mention just a few.
‘These updates underscore DirectOut’s commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions that simplify audio management and enhance the user experience in demanding environments,’ says DirectOut Strategy and Audio Solutions Manager, Luca Giaroli.
