RCF has extended its range of EN54 compliant products with four efficient and competitive speakers for ceiling/panel or wall mounting.
Originally introduced as a European standard for fire alarm systems, EN 54 has been extended to cover voice evacuation to meet a growing trend in the market towards integration of fire alarm and voice evacuation systems. All cabling inside the speakers uses flameproof leads.
The PL 50EN is a wideband ceiling speaker featuring a flameproof steel firedome designed for recess installation in false ceilings or panels. It is especially suitable for broadcasting alarm messages thanks to a highly intelligible sound reproduction and the flame and heat resistance. The terminal connection boards are in ceramic material for input and output flameproof cables. A thermal fuse protects the integrity of the line in case of heat affecting the speaker.
