The compact modules can be freely combined and cascaded, enabling the construction of high performance systems with 48, 80 or even 112 speakers. The modules are suited to large venues with challenging acoustics, due to their unobtrusive appearance and reproduction of both speech and music.
Fohhn’s new active subwoofer features adjustable directivity. Using DSP processing, the sub can be configured to offer cardioid, super-cardioid and figure-of-eight patterns. A further feature is the ability to damp sound from the rear of the unit via adjustable 180° attenuation. Cardioid characteristic DSP presets and installation documentation will also be available for existing Fohhn subwoofers.
Other Fohhn products to be previewed at the forthcoming Pro Light & Sound show include the LX-10 coaxial compact loudspeaker system, a new Linea Series LX-220 loudspeaker (with 18 4-inch speakers and two 1-inch compression drivers), plus the latest D-4.1200 (4 1.2kW/4Ω) DSP-controlled digital amplifier.
