RCF has launched its VSA II Digitally Steerable Column Speaker, using DSP to control the vertical acoustic dispersion with the capability of ‘steering’ and ‘beaming’ sound to intended areas, reducing acoustic anomalies in highly reverberant spaces.
The sound-focusing technology of the Vertical Steerable Array series directs sound precisely to a listener, without interfering with ceilings, walls or any other surface for up to a maximum 96dB SPL at 30m. The system’s Vertical Coverage Beam can be controlled from 10° to 30°, and its Vertical Steering from 0° to -40°.
The systems are available in three sizes – using 8, 12 and 20 speakers – each one coupled to a reliable 50W amplifier for clarity and intelligibility.
Each VSA II column can be programmed directly from RCF’s proprietary RDNet networked management software, or via the VSA Remote app and the VSA-RC device. The columns are housed in an unobtrusive and robust aluminium cabinet that blends into sensitive environments. Custom colours are available on request.
The VSA II series promises simple installation, simple maintenance and maximum safety and reliability, making them well suited to voice alarm applications.
