KME’s VL4 ultra-compact column array loudspeakersystem for use in applications ranging from theatres, cinemas and lecture rooms to and multimedia and nightclub set-ups. The system also offers a plug-and-play set-up for protable PA applications, and an installation version will be made available as the VL4i.
The mid-range section of the VL4 uses four 4-inch cone speakers with a 1-inch and waveguide for the HF. Its minimal weight (6kg) and slim polyurethane coated cabinet are designed to make installation simple and unobtrusive.
VL4 cabinets can also be used as part of the KME SD X PA system, which adds 48kHz, 24-bit digital signal processor control and the VSS 28 with two 8-inch subwoofer.
Control of the SD X is through the VSS 28, which sas three integrated class-D amplifiers (400W sub and two 200W mid/high outputs). KME claims that this configuration increases the useable dynamic range of the audio signal by reducing conversion losses.
