Hedd (Heinz ElectroDynamic Designs) has been launched by physicist and music enthusiast Klaus Heinz, the founder and former long-term head of R&D at Adam Audio. The new company has entered the professional audio market with three studio loudspeaker monitors – the Type 05, Type 07 and Type 30 – part of Hedd’s Series One.
Each model features new materials, soft black modern unibody cabinets, the latest generation of ICE power amplifiers, and a sophisticated Air Motion tweeter design (Hedd AMT), intended to result in ‘very precise and effortless’ reproduction. Hedd has also developed a modular input card system called the Hedd Bridge, adding optional Audio-over-IP (Dante and Ravenna), AES3, USB2 or wireless cards to the loudspeakers –the first loudspeakers to combine analogue monitoring with the ability to understand audio-related protocols over Ethernet. All models are fully HEDD Bridge compatible.
