The subwoofers feature new high-power transducers, and promise exceptional power handling in a compact footprint. As such, they are the most versatile and powerful subwoofers of the company’s S series.
At the heart of the design is a single high-power 19-inch driver, offering a balance between traditional high-speed 18-inch and slower 21-inch drivers. Its ultra-long excursion moving mass (65mm/2.5-inch safe peak-to-peak) ensures high power and fast acceleration.
Both models use a bass-reflex design that delivers an efficient acoustic response, reaching a lower extension of 30Hz for the S 8019 and 25Hz for the S 8029. Power handling capabilities are up to 1.5kW for the S 8019 and 3kW for the S 8029. The front vent port facilitates straightforward cabinet installation in recessed areas.
Both models are constructed from high-quality plywood and coated in a durable black Polyurea, with a powder-coated metal grille to protect the transducers. The design is completed by a recessed input panel with Speakon NL4 connectors, with M20 pole mount adaptors and ergonomic handle grips.
