The JBL SRX918SF and SRX915SRX are powered, flyable single 18-inch subwoofers designed to be deployed in suspended or ground-stacked configurations to complement the company’s SRX900 Series of full-range line array systems. Their integrated three-point rigging system allows units to be suspended in standalone arrays or in combination with SRX910LA cabinets in mixed-array configurations.
The drivers used in both enclosures employ Differential Drive – JBL’s dual voice coil, dual gap technology – to deliver efficient heat dissipation, lower power compression, and wider dynamic range than conventional single-coil designs.
Built-in DSP and amplification offer a plug-and-play use and provide consistency and optimum performance anywhere in the world.
With their maximum continuous power handling rated at 1,100W, both subwoofers incorporate a large low-frequency port design that improves airflow and reduces audible turbulence, even at high output levels. The quoted frequency range for the SRX918SF is 35Hz-100Hz (134dB maximum SPL), and for the SRX915SRX is 36Hz-100Hz (130dB maximum SPL), both with omnidirectional and cardioid dispersion patterns available.
A reinforced 18mm birch plywood cabinet promises strength and durability. A full-featured software package gives users complete control of the system on various platforms, including Windows, macOS, and iPad OS.
