Following the limited-run of 2,000 Black Origin studio production bundles released by Aston Microphones in January, the mic manufacturer has announced the Black Spirit Bundle, another limited edition release of 1,500 individually numbered pieces.

The box-set is centred on the multi-pattern, high-performance Spirit mic is used by artists including Noel Gallagher, Radiohead, Tory Lanez, Don Broco, Jamie Cullum and Bullet For My Valentine, as well as various producers and engineers.

The bundle includes a black textured version of the Spirit, plus the best-in-class Aston Swiftshield pop filter and shockmount set – everything needed for miking vocals, instruments and most other sound sources.

The switchable pattern condenser microphone uses a 1-inch gold evaporated capsule. A switch on the mic body selects between Omni, Cardioid and Fig-of-8 polar patterns. Its Aston 33 panel selected capsule is paired with high-end transformer balanced circuitry using only the best components. The mic features Aston’s Wave-Form Mesh head, a built in ‘stainless steel wool’ pop filter, direct to stand mounting and a tumbled stainless steel chassis.
