The UniPlex subminiature cardioid lavalier mic line-upDesigned for corporate presentations and guest speakers in conference rooms, lecture halls, theatres, and arenas, UniPlex’s UL4 unidirectional lavalier microphone delivers, isolated audio capture, minimising feedback with its cardioid pickup pattern.

UniPlex promises the performance of larger lapel microphones in a significantly smaller package for applications where sound-quality-for-size cannot be sacrificed, even in noisy environments.

‘We knew that the market needed a strong lavalier option that prioritised high-stakes speaking environments with a directional pattern, in a much smaller, cleaner form factor,’ says Associate Director for Microphones, Global Product Management, John Born. ‘UniPlex builds on the portfolio by featuring the same Plex technology cable for enhanced durability, yet it focuses on creating clear, isolated sound for speakers, presenters and educators alike.’

UniPlex’s 1.6mm Shure Plex Cable technology offers long-lasting durability and comfort for the wearer, while making it easy for crews and engineers to apply the mics effectively and efficiently. The cable is resistant to kinks and memory effects, and is also a paintable solution suitable for any speaker or wardrobe.

Joining Shure’s subminiature lavalier offerings, UniPlex is available in Black, Cocoa, Tan, and White. It comes complete with the accessories needed for seamless usability, including a carrying case, snap-fit windscreen and tie clip. UniPlex is offered in three connector types – TA4F, Lemo and XLR. The UniPlex UL4 Cardioid Subminiature Lavalier Microphone is now available and retails starting at US$299.
