Building on the established Neumann KMS 105 supercardioid analogue microphone, the KMS 105D digital version is aimed at stage applications.

Based on the AES42 standard, the new model allows pre-programmed settings to be stored in the microphone using a separate Digital Microphone Interface (DMI-2, DMI-8), controlled by the included Remote Control Software (RCS). RCS also allows the user to control switchable presets for pre-attenuation, gain adjustment, high-pass filter and other settings.
