Following its asset purchase agreement with Harman International for the Studer brand in 2021, Evertz Technologies has announced additions and upgrades to its product range. ‘In a broadcast landscape that is increasingly IP based, there has long been discussion about audio and how it can be transitioned into this new world. Evertz’ acquisition of Studer is answering many of those questions by delivering real solutions to customers and technological advancements to the entire industry,’ the company says.

Studer Vista 1 CarbonOver the past few months, Evertz has focused on integrating Studer technology into its own live production workflows. Studer Vista digital consoles and Infinity Core audio mixing and processing are now part of Evertz Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) solutions.

Evertz has announced the Vista 1 Carbon, a 22-fader compact console that is the latest addition to the Studer Vista console range. Designed for live events, broadcast, and remote and OB production, Vista consoles boast a Digital Signal Processing engine that offers more than 1,000 channels and buses, and more than 6,000 channels of physical I/O. By using the same application software across the range, Studer consoles offer an easy transition from one console to another, whether they are working on the new Vista 1 Carbon or the 72-fader, fully redundant flagship Vista X.

‘Vista’s Vistonics user interface provides simple and intuitive controls, allowing audio engineers to focus their attention on the sound,’ says Studer-Evertz Audio Solutions, Paul Shorter. ‘Where you look, is where you touch, is where you control – that’s our philosophy.’

In addition to the Vista 1 Carbon, Evertz has announced the Studer Infinity-ST server core, which features a new CoreLink card audio interface that provides both IP based ST2110-30 and proprietary A-link native connectivity. With more than 6,000 inputs and outputs, the Infinity ST1100’s CPU also boasts 1,100 simultaneous DSP channels and buses to mix, while the Infinity ST550 provides a cost effective alternative for those not needing the high level horsepower. The Infinity-ST series maintains Studer’s sample-locked full redundancy option giving today’s high pressure, high stakes productions the protection it demands.
