Declaring it a ‘groundbreaking’ addition to its SQ series, Allen & Heath’s new SQ-Rack combines SQ’s 96kHz XCVI core with comprehensive connectivity and flexible control options in a compact rackmount form factor with multiple mounting options.
SQ-Rack is built on a 96kHz XCVI SQ core, delivering 48 input channels with phase coherent mixes and ultra-low latency in a shallow 4U-high rackmount unit.
SQ-Rack features local I/O alongside an intelligent SLink port, integrating with Allen & Heath’s Everything I/O ecosystem. Expand further with option cards for Dante, Waves, Madi or additional SLink capabilities. Multichannel USB support enables easy recording and playback, whether connecting to a computer or directly to an external drive.
With a dedicated fader screen, customisable SQ-Control display, and tactile hands-on controls, users can work with maximum efficiency. The SQ-MixPad, SQ-4You, and SQ-Control apps offer unmatched flexibility, allowing operators to take command from anywhere.
‘We’ve had many requests over recent years for a rack mount SQ, with no faders, so we built it,’ says Product Manager, Keith Johnson. ‘I’m proud of the SQ-Rack control options, easy touchscreen access to faders and the ‘SQ-Control’ screen and App, giving quick access and simplified custom control.’
‘SQ-Rack is designed for versatility. Ideal for installations that need band mixing, set-ups without an FOH position, or delivering consistent, high-quality IEM mixes on tour,’ adds Director of Product, Nicola Beretta.
