Zoom F8 MultiTrack Field Recorder

Zoom F8Zoom North America has introduced the F8 MultiTrack Field Recorder, for filmmakers and sound design.

The F8 claims to be the first field recorder to come with wireless Bluetooth control. The Zoom F8 Control app provides control of the F8 from an iOS device via Bluetooth LE. This supports sransport control, level monitoring and metadata editing from the iOS device.

The F8 is equipped with eight XLR/TRS combo inputs with mic preamps offering preamps a super low noise floor (-127dBu EIN) and high input gain (up to 75dB), recording at up to 192kHz, 24-bit resolution. Time code is to 0.2ppm accuracy and there are dual SD Card slots, each compatible with SD/SDHC/SDXC cards of up to 512Gb, for storage

The Zoom F8 MultiTrack Field Recorder will be available in Q2 2015, at US$999.99.
