Designed to provide simple system scalability, Yamaha’s TF series of digital mixers has been complemented by the Tio1608-D rackmount I/O unit and NY64-D Dante expansion card.
TF Series users can now configure multiple-channel digital network systems with a single Ethercon cable, using Dante networking. The TF's input/output capability can be quickly expanded by adding up to three Tio1608-D units (and the optional NY64-D), via the console's Quick Config mode, with network settings and audio patching set automatically for an audio system with up to 48 inputs and 24 outputs.
The latest TF firmware update, v2.5, adds new features that will expand the appeal of the TF consoles for a wider range of pro audio applications. This includes four matrix out channels with delay parameters (of up to 1000ms each) that are suited to delay compensation for live sound speaker systems at large venues, installations where separate mixes are fed to a main hall and lobby and any other situation that requires delay compensation. Also included is a simple output delay effect type that can be used as an insert effect on the Aux 9/10 ~ Aux 19/20 buses to manage the timing of signals sent to speakers at different locations for improved intelligibility and clarity.
Further, v2.5 will allow assigning the eight processing and effects units more flexibly, permitting more creative sound-shaping and system expansion capability. In addition, an expanded library of QuickPro Presets is included, which give users a simple, time-efficient mixing starting point with optimised microphone, musical instrument and output equipment settings.
Previously bundled with the CL series consoles, Steinberg’s Nuendo Live multitrack live recording software is now also being bundled with QL and TF series consoles.
