Moog Music has ported its collection of Moogerfooger plug-ins to the Apple iOS platform.
Released as desktop plug-ins by Moog in 2022, all seven reimaginations of the original hardware pedals – plus the MF-109S Saturator – have been used by artists across genres and styles. Moog says: ‘in response to requests from Moog plug-in users and the greater creative community, musicians and producers can enjoy the iconic sound and versatility of these legendary effects processors on their iPhones and iPads’.
These effects are designed to capture the essence of the Moogerfooger hardware units, delivering the same rich and organic sound with greater convenience. Collectively, they allow users to explore a comprehensive collection of effects, including classic analogue delay, modulation, filtering and distortion.
The iOS apps use an intuitive interface, designed for simple control and manipulation of parameters. Each effect is fully optimised to work across any iPhone or iPad using the latest operating software.
An extensive library of presets accompanies the release, offering a starting point for users to explore their own musical creation or to transform stock presets into something unique.
Moogerfooger effects for iOS recreate the deep CV interconnectivity capabilities of the original hardware pedals, such that each instance of a Moogerfooger can modulate the parameters of any other across a user’s project. The effects integrate with other iOS music apps in AUv3 format, allowing users to incorporate any iOS Moogerfooger into an existing workflow.
All eight dynamic effects are now available in the App Store.
